Global Financial Technology Company Improves Processes with Automated Redaction Solution

Business Challenge

A global financial technology company that works with a diverse range of clients wanted to be able to automatically redact credit card numbers in order to comply with the PCI DSS. The PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is a standard that regulates any organization that works with cardholder information. To be PCI compliant, the company needed to protect the credit card numbers that they received from their clients. This led the company to look for a robust and cost effective automated redaction solution that could be implemented across multiple servers.

Solution

The company decided to purchase a license of CVISION’s Trapeze to redact 70 million pages. CVISION’s Trapeze is an automated redaction solution powered by a highly accurate OCR engine. The support team from CVISION is based in the US, and assisted with the implementation of the software in real-time.

Results

With CVISION’s Trapeze, the company was able to meet all of its standards and remain PCI compliant. The software was highly accurate, capable of recognizing and redacting large amounts of credit card numbers. Unlike similar products, Trapeze provides the highest amount of security by both redacting and completely removing the underlying text.
