Question: I am looking for a OCR software that I can download and evaluate. I would prefer for it to be free because for now I am just looking around and checking out different options. Do you know of any or have any advice?
Answer: If you are trying to find a OCR software download, there are a few options that you can try. There are free ones out there but a lot of them do not perform like the paid services. One product that you should definitely look into is from CVISION Technologies. They offer free trials of their full product so you are able to see what the actual benefits are. In my opinion, it is one of the few free trials actually worth downloading because most of the time, you are not able to get accurate results since a trial version is very different from the full product.
