Convert Scan to PDF

Scanning is the process of making a copy of any paper page or paper document onto your computer screen. Scanning allows you to create a digital copy of it on your system. When scanning any paper document using scanning software, each page is saved as an image in JPEG or TIFF format. So actually convert scan to PDF means converting a JPEG or TIFF file into a PDF file.

Why Do You Need to Convert Scan to PDF?

The need for convert scan to PDF is security and the ability to be easily accessed in different platforms. Another reason why you need to convert scan to PDF is because it is easier to read, all you need to do is just scroll down or up to view pages because each of the image in the file is separate. Although it should be kept in mind that convert scan to PDF method does not allow search or copy option. Convert scan to PDF only saves the outlook of the scanned paper. Copying text from a PDF formed by convert scan to PDF method can only be done using OCR software.

Convert Scan to PDF Procedure

So let us start the procedure for convert scan to PDF. Firstly switch on the scanner and open the scanner software. The software we use is one that comes with your scanner so there is no need to search for any special software. Now place the document paper into the scanner. Press the "Scan" button on your scanner to start scanning the document. It can also be done from the "Scan" button provided in the software. After scanning of the document is done an image will appear in your software window. Save the image by clicking the "Save" option in the "File" menu. This will save the scanned image on your computer. The image format may vary from JPEG to TIFF. Once the image is saved on your computer open Adobe Acrobat. Adobe Acrobat is the software by Adobe for PDF files. Select "Create PDF from File" option from the "File" menu in the Adobe Acrobat window. A browse window appears, browse to the location where you saved your scanned image. Select the scanned image by double clicking on it. Now save the file as PDF and your scan is now a PDF.
