In a recent survey, nine out of ten respondents said that the PDF is emerging as the primary medium for long-term use beating other formats and paper. The PDF file format was being increasingly used for the long-term storage of documents and the survey revealed the extent of the dominance of this format for many applications. Organizations today are still using the paper-based form for document storage, but 93% of respondents said that they would use the PDF format for storage in the long term.
