CVISION RELEASES MAESTRO RECOGNITION SERVER, A FAST HIGHLY
ACCURATE SERVER-BASED PDF AND OCR SOLUTION FOR DEMANDING APPLICATIONS
Forest Hills, NY, October 31th, 2008 – CVISION Technologies, Inc. a leading provider of image compression, recognition, and PDF workflow applications, announced today the release of Maestro Recognition Server. Maestro is a server-based PDF conversion and OCR solution providing industrial strength, automated, batch processing OCR, while delivering super-accurate recognition results with great speed.
Maestro converts scanned documents into text-searchable PDF files and provides a flexible OCR solution. Delivered from a centralized server, Maestro enables organizations to easily integrate fast, accurate OCR as part of their existing document and imaging workflow while allowing users to perform advanced image processing functions in addition to high-quality OCR.
Users can configure Maestro for speed, isolate specific regions to OCR, and select document orientation, allowing for robust functionality. Maestro automates the OCR process with watch folder capabilities through which users can automatically process multiple folders. To accommodate large volume scanning, the batch OCR feature within Maestro enables scanned documents to be processed at the rate of about 3 pages per second.
“When evaluating an OCR product, one of the most important things to consider is the accuracy of the OCR recognition. Maestro Recognition Server differentiates itself from competing OCR products through superior recognition rates,” said Eitan Agai, VP, Professional Services for CVISION. “Many of our clients are looking for an automated solution to OCR documents. With Maestro’s batch and watch folder capabilities, clients are able to process a large volume of documents fast and reliably.”
Maestro Recognition Server differentiates itself through advanced image processing capabilities. With Maestro, images can be deskewed and despeckled for enhanced document quality. Maestro supports advanced image processing features including automatic page detection and rotation, automatic color inversion, automatic cropping, and color re-sampling.
Maestro Recognition Server also provides superior PDF control including web optimization, advanced security, PDF/A compliance, metadata insertion, PDF display control, Bates Stamping, and headers and footers. Maestro-produced PDFs are optimized for fast internet viewing and include advanced security functionality including options for edit protection, print protection, and read protection.
