CVISION releases DocArchiver for PDF/A compliance

CVISION releases DocArchiver for retention & archiving of database documents to PDF/A format.
DocArchiver offers the ease of use of electronic documents and the reliability of paper & microfiche.

CVISION Technologies, Inc. (www.cvisiontech.com), a leading provider of image compression, recognition technology, and PDF workflow applications announced today the release of DocArchiver.  DocArchiver converts all image and PDF source documents into PDF-archivable files (PDF/A).  Conversion of PDF/A for archiving is recommended by both ARMA (Association of Records Managers and Administrators), and NARA (National Archives and Records Administration).

CVISION’s DocArchiver is a server-based PDF/A production module for long-term archiving of database documents. Designed for archive users, corporate databases, and document management systems, DocArchiver enables the verification and correction of documents into PDF/A format according to ISO 19005-1. DocArchiver can correct non-compliant PDF files, and convert them into valid PDF/A documents.

“DocArchiver provides companies with a reliable alternative to inconvenient and outdated archival methods  like paper and microfiche. With DocArchiver companies can be assured their documents will always open and view exactly the same, now and years down the road” said Ralph Cafiero, COO for CVISION.  “With more companies sharing documents globally, the demand for PDF/A has surged. A corporate New York office needs to be assured that documents sent from the Company’s international offices do not contain non-embedded fonts and other elements such as javascript that may prohibit proper document viewing and opening.“

DocArchiver is available to purchase and for free evaluation at CVISION’s website, www.cvisiontech.com.  For more information, email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
