What is resizing PDFs?
Resizing PDFs is basically taking a PDF and then trying to cut down its size and the space it takes up. Other words that have probably been used more often but basically mean the same thing are compressing and reducing. They all refer to making the size of the file smaller. How resizing works isbasically a software uses various algorithms (depending what kind of file you are trying to resize) and it compresses the file so that it is significantly smaller.
Why resize though?
Resizing your PDFs or just any file in general can be very helpful down the road. I am talking about PDFs specifically because the size of these files tend to be very large. An obvious benefit would be to save space on your database. By cutting down the size, you now have room for more data. Another reason which might not seem so obvious is the time it takes to transmit these files. Sending and receiving larger files will always be less efficient. An addition problem that might come up is if you decided to send the PDF as an email attachment because most servers have limits of the file size.
