I’m trying to find out what the best free OCR available is. I want to download free OCR software to try it out, but don’t know what’s good and what’s not.

There are two important factors to consider when trying to determine the best free OCR software: speed and accuracy. Some free OCR software is so inaccurate that all it does is give you a garbled mess of text that is impossible to work with, and is very tedious to use.
