What is the best way to make a TIFF file searchable if it contains scanned text?
When you scan a document, it is usually output in as a TIFF file. You can use OCR software to make it text-searchable, but before that, I would recommend converting it into a PDF file, which is more portable, easier to share, and can be compressed more effectively if necessary. CVISION offers a tool called PdfCompressor that can convert, OCR, and compress files automatically.
