OCR software can recognize virtually any printed scanned text. The key limitation is that it cannot recognize handwritten text, but most current OCR tools have significant flexibility in terms of the different fonts that they can recognize. One other limitation is the quality of the scanned image. If the resolution is very low, the OCR might not be able to process it. To minimize this problem, use OCR with advanced image processing to de-skew and de-speckle distorted scans.
