Question:
What is OCR? I’m constantly frustrated by the fact that I can’t edit the information in my scanned documents. I was complaining about this to our company’s tech guy, and he said I should look into OCR, but I had no idea what he was talking about and didn’t want to look stupid.

Answer:
OCR stands for optical character recognition, and is pretty much what it sounds like. OCR software reads each character in a digital document and writes it into a text file that can be edited and searched. Many people find this useful for forms processing, as OCR can quickly turn paper forms into digital text documents. Your tech guy knows what he’s talking about: OCR is the solution for your problem. I’ve attached the link to CVISION’s downloads page where you can find trial versions of our software.
