How to Make Scanned PDF Smaller File

July 22nd, 2009 by Michael

Question:
I scan a lot of documents, and prefer to store them as PDF files, but have been running out of disk space due to the many large PDF files I now have. Can you tell me how to make scanned PDF have a smaller file size?

Answer:

Your question of how to make scanned PDF have smaller file sizes has a simple response: use PDF compression software. Our PdfCompressor software can make your existing PDF files smaller, as well as automatically compress any new scanned PDFs using watched folders. PdfCompressor can make your PDF files up to 100x smaller, and will also make your PDFs searchable using our OCR engine. Of course, the best way to learn about software is by using it, which is why we provide a free trial version.
