February 24th, 2009 by Chris

Question: I am wondering if you have command line support for PDF Compressor Desktop version.

Answer:  PDF Compressor Desktop has a number of limitations compared to the professional edition; the following features are only available with PDF Compressor professional edition.

• PDF Compressor Professional Edition supports Batch Compression
• The Professional Edition includes “watched folder” capabilities
• PDF Compressor Pro Version enables users to compress files that are greater than 100 pages in length
• The Professional Edition processes directories of files with a single click.
• PDF Compressor Professional Edition ONLY includes a Command Line Interface
• The Professional Edition supports use through an API
• Technical Support is available with the Professional Edition

If these features were available during your evaluation, you must have been evaluating the Professional version and purchased the Desktop.

Many of our Desktop clients do not realize they are eligible to upgrade to the Professional Edition of PDF Compressor by simply paying the difference of the upgrade. If you wish to upgrade please feel free to contact sales(at)cvisiontech.com.

If you are interested in testing PDF Compressor Pro Edition, I have included the link below:
