Questions: I work at a New York-based legal firm, and I spend most of my day inputting the text from hard documents, into an electronic document. Is there a free tool that will allow me to put these files into a searchable format faster and more efficiently?
Answer: Optical character recognition, or OCR, is available for free on the internet. A free OCR tool will scan an image or PDF and convert it into a text file, allowing it to be edited and saved electronically. Free OCR tools are known for increasing workplace efficiency, slashing the time used to manually input the data. Free OCR tools are your best bet when looking to save time to do other office-related work. Below is a link to download our free OCR tool.

Question: I know PDF files should be small already, but when I insert images and graphics, the size skyrockets. How can I compress PDF files, without losing the quality or my images?
Answer: We do offer a solution to compress PDF files without losing reducing the quality of your file. When you compress PDF files, you will have an easier time storing them on your hard drive and e-mailing them to other people. Compressed PDFs temporarily reduce the size of the images, videos and graphics, allowing you to uncompress the PDF later. A link is provided, where you can download software that will compress PDF files.
