OCR File Formats

Question: I have another question about the software I was wondering if you could help me with. We have a need to OCR and convert .doc files into .pdf. Is this possible with PDF compressor? Is there a module we can purchase to accomplish this?
Answer: When considering files to OCR for text-searchability, .doc file are usually already OCR’d since it is an electronic file, so I am not sure how OCR would come in useful for .doc file types. At this time we are able to take the following file types as input TIFF, PDF, JPEG, BMP, GIF, JP2, J2K, JPC, PNG, TGA, WMF, PCX, ICO, PNM - .doc is not among those file types.
